Using techniques of vandalism, this work presents a false equivalence between acts of vandalism and a work of art. How the viewer untangles this false equivalency reveals how they understand their participation in dominant White American culture.

Dominant White culture uses the term “our” to enact epistemic violence by claiming that “our”-X extend to everyone when they do not. Those outside these must then do the added work of showing these are not universal before sharing their own meanings.
